The primary communication tool for this event is Slack. Download the mobile app and use the #2026-team-retreat-scottsdale channel to stay updated on schedule changes, updates and to communicate during the event itself.
During the retreat, please help us stay within budget with these basic guidelines:
Stick to KickUp Group meals when offered
Aim to share Ubers with teammates where possible
Don’t starve during travel, but stick to cost-conscious options within limits below
When in doubt, ask Kylie, Vicky or Jeremy
What you can expense:
Rideshare/taxi/shuttle/transport to and from the event up to $50.
Please make an effort to share Ubers.
Meals during travel or when Group meals are not offered:
Breakfast: $10–$15
Lunch: $15–$25
Dinner: $25–$50
In-Flight Internet if used for work
Up to 1 checked bag if applicable
What you should not expense:
Meals that overlap with KickUp-provided meals. Remember that KickUp provides all meals during the onsite.
Personal trip extensions, personal gifts or toiletries, or other non-expensable items in our policy.
When logging expenses:
Please track all Retreat-related expenses in Brex within 1 week of the Retreat.
If you have a Brex card, you can make direct charges. Memos are required for all expenses.
Card users will have a designated virtual card to use (found on your Brex home page) that will automatically collate expenses for you under the Onsite budget
For reimbursement, please follow this process, also including a description & the appropriate budget.
Select the appropriate Spend Limit via the app or Slack, looking for the “All Team Retreat 03-2026”
The Brex Slack integration &/or app are helpful for quickly adding memos and receipts in real time.
